A God like entity decides to take a few mortals to work on a fun side project for his own entertainment. It is Questionable Whether or not it's more efficient to do it through these methods, or even if he has the jurisdiction to do so. Morally its probubly better to just blow the entire thing up in a grand oblivion, but how many times do you have to see oblivion until you get bored of it. I mean its a quick flash of lights and sound and then everything is gone, there is no conflict, no politics, no entertainment, no absurdly complex doomsday event. So why not have a bit of fun with my leftovers.
