How much would you know about transmigration?

Was our awareness of such a word, what allowed us an understanding of it, or was it just our own delusion that allowed us comprehension of what it truly meant?

It was something that I, the author himself wanted answers to... Alfir, my alter ego and persona, the very penname I had wielded would be the protagonist of our own little story~ a story within a story.

Let's watch him struggle against his fate as he plunged himself into a world that he himself wrote.

We would immerse ourselves in his manic perspective.

From the third person, we would observe what he would become.

Until he realized the reality of I, of me, of a first perspective.

When he did, would he break down? Or would he wake up?

***

Definitely Not a Self-Insert.

Plot in a nutshell: The author sent himself into another world by writing a fictionalized version of himself, in a novel within a novel.

My Ambition: Write a story tackling the philosophical ramifications of the isekai genre and challenge its limits.

The MC in a nutshell: was broken, paranoid, mental, hypocritical, and was on a journey of self-discovery.

The Setting in a nutshell: set in a fantasy medieval era with kingdoms, empires, sectarian organizations, and medieval stuff. It was a world filled with superpowered mutants. The technology level was mostly medieval, with the exception of their unique technology (mutant-manufactured tech), and... other familiar 21st-century technology only accessible to those who belonged to the upper privileged class.

The Power Level in a Nutshell: depends on Potential Grade Percentage.

100% Potential Grade was Champion. It was the pinnacle of mutation powers. This was when an individual was able to manifest the absoluteness of their powers, changing topographies would be a cinch for mutants at this grade. These mutants were generally called the 'evolved'.

99% Potential Grade was Peak. This was the 'peak' of mortal abilities. Strength, agility, intelligence, etcetera… The Peak Grade was when a mutant reached its maximum human attributes.

98% to 80% Potential Grade was Destructive. Also known as city-destroyers. They could deal significant damage. This was the starting point of the truly strong mutants.

79% to 50% Potential Grade was Magical. This was when mutant abilities started to look magical in the eyes of an ordinary person. They represented competency.

41% to 49% Potential Grade was Ability. Mutants in this grade were those who had overcome their talent.

40% to 6% Potential Grade was Talent. The starting point of any mutant ability.

5% and below were Human, and these people were unqualified to attend the academy.

The Power Level mentioned above was not absolute as Potential Grades could be surpassed by pure technique, differentiated by how a mutation was used and expressed.

Note: This was a rewrite of Meanest Mob. No harem. MC was complicated... He could be righteous sometimes... but was most often a fucked up villain. Book 1 would be written in the Third POV, and the rest was 1st POV.
