Depression sucks, but life goes on. Friendships are formed, words are spoken, and life is lived.
Until the apocalypse happens, anyway. What's the point of friends when I can fight monsters and risk my life for glory?
After I save the world to feed my hero complex, of course. Can't die when others need saving, right?
Besides, I mean, who doesn't love cracking skulls while people sing your praises? Only psychopaths and monsters.
No matter what people say, I, Blood, am not a psychopath or a monster.
Also, what's this about an alien invasion?
Uploads ~2k five (or more) times a week @ 4:03p CST. Typically they're scheduled so you can check what that is in your timezone <3
If you want you can skip to the action {18}, but I wouldn't recommend it.
It takes a while for the dungeon and magic stuff to appear, so beware. I made it a different volume so you can easily know where the actual dungeon stuff starts if that's all you're interested in.

This story's unofficial title is "Writing Practice" so if you feel up to it I would love some constructive feedback and criticism.
Content Warnings: Depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, profanity (unsure if it's excessive but many people just don't swear, it's based on character), violence (Unsure if it counts as graphic, but I'm trying my best), death, mentions of rape/false accusations (often), mentions of child abuse,
Stuff that will be in the story, but isn't yet:
people who glorify what they do [not yet], minor sexual content that isn't graphic (think just mentions, there are incubi and succubi in this) [not yet], general bigotry (lgbtq hate, racism, sexism, etc) [not yet in story], infrequent but graphic torture [not yet],
Combat excerpt:
As several goblins appeared, my bat swung out. Pointed ears and red eyes were crushed in the large swing, and the first goblin was down. Without missing a beat another goblin darted forward. My bat swung both ways, though, and the second goblin was dealt with. My heart was hammering and I was breathing heavy with the effort of crushing two skulls in a row, but I had no time to rest, taking a step back as a third goblin dived forward.
Character excerpt:
"You think I'm so shady," I whined, "I totally work for Kageson."
"Doesn't kage mean shadow?"
My lips twisted, and I laughed at the dumb joke, grinning up at the man, "Okay, you can have that one, that was funny."
{PS: Slight hiatus for December. Sorry, life decided to happen. Will upload sporadically, at least once a week, don't worry. Same time}
