When Jennifer Knights signed up to join the police force, she hoped she would be able to make a difference, but she barely feels as if she is scraping the surface of London's crime and corruption.

A normal day in her life suddenly goes haywire when a man is arrested for refusing to give up a sword. On interviewing him she finds that he believes himself to be a reawakened King Arthur. Of course, no one believes him.

But when magic starts happening and he really has no clue what technology is, Jennifer's heart is softened. Is she really going to help this apparent madman rescue his country?

Or is it all impossible?

With magic now a part of her life and this new man sleeping on her sofa, Jennifer can only go with the flow or accept that she has finally lost her mind as well. But what will she decide to do when her job is put on the line? Will she continue to help the would-be king, or will she go back to the life she led before?
