Screw those guys who can fly around or shoot lasers out of their eyes; all it takes to win is persistence, planning, and public relations. And maybe a Potion of Internal Combustion or two. Whatever it takes to be Number One!

But it isn't easy, not in a society filled with heroes and a council of other villains not-so-happy to have one of their own gunning for them. The world's been an absolute mess since [Super Skills] came into existence. That doesn't even delve into the shady corporations playing around with powers they shouldn't be touching...

...Well, it's simple, really. If any of them get in the way of taking his deserved spot at the top, Alex will take them down, too.
