In the aftermath of a great war, Princess Anya of Vasili is given up as a consort for the crown prince of the vast Empire of Ascalon. When her heretical magic saves the prince from an assassination attempt, she is caught in a vicious supernatural contest for the throne.

Note: this story contains quite a bit of body horror, some medical horror and overall violence, and a plot centered around an arranged marriage. While a character refers to past sexual assault, no further sexual violence occurs (or will occur in future chapters).
