Amidst the ruins of a civilization long forgotten, Lucius discovers Arkaenan of the Crimson Star, the last Sovereign of a vampiric Cultivator lineage that once reigned supreme, and were responsible for the seeding of life across the cosmos.

As the relentless artillery of his pursuers shatters the silence of the frozen world, Lucius is mortally wounded in the chaos.

The Sovereign, ancient beyond reckoning and weary of its existence, proposes a sinister pact: it will bestow upon Lucius the ancient power of its bloodline, saving him from the clutches of death.

In exchange, he must bind himself with a blood oath to claim an inheritance of unimaginable might and darkness on the creature's homeworld—a legacy written in the stars and soaked in the blood of aeons.

This is an exploration of a good man turned bad by the betrayal of the world, and his in-turn forsaking of that world.

Inheritor is a for-fun project that I will update whenever I feel like it, but probably at least once a week or more, based on how my actual main projects are doing.

This novel will update whenever I want, and its usual length will be anywhere from 2,200 to 3,200 words per Chapter.

It'll be a straightforward blend of Cultivation and Sci-Fi, with horror, political, drama, and adventure elements.

Also gore. An entire hell of a lot of gore. This is not a redemption story, it's a fall from grace, and the only direction is down, down, down.
