Aspen finishes Ascension school and is effectively banished to the borders of humanity, "fringe space." Arriving to the border patrol ship Meili to find a crew of misfits and oddities, Aspen is excited to start life fresh in the Federation of Sol's Navy. All would seem routine and happy until a hidden agenda would threaten Aspen's found family. Can Aspen's time in sick bay prepare her for what's to come?
