Mikael is your average mid-twenties half-demon, and he's not having a good winter. It started out simply: the water in his house won't heat up, he's close to losing his job, and ghosts are threatening him. Normal stuff. But now, demons from his father's realm are trying to kill him, and he doesn't know why. He has tried to stay away from things that go bump in the night, but after a few encounters with these beings, it's time to bump back. Investigating who's after him drags him back into the world of the supernatural, pitting him against powerful foes, cunning siblings, and the wizard's guild. The stakes get higher as more beings join in on a game he doesn't understand. He has to figure out the rules, and quick--before things get much worse.
