Earth is lost, a phrase that many living on the planet did not want to hear but given the war that gave way to that result, many were unsurprised. Earth was no longer livable and what left of humanity was only a fraction of what it was. Unprecedented technological progress before the war gave us the possibility of escaping our impending fate. The surviving nations pooled their resources together into a single governing body and from this union created "Project: Ark". Five Superships, called the Arks, were built each one was meant to be larger than mega cities and self-sustaining. The last of the human race retreated into these Arks as they were launched into space. Over 8 billion people lived on Earth, once the Arks were launched, a mere 200 million remained. A new governance was established across the Five Superships, new cultural norms, and even new military and sports programs. Two hundred years later, Suzanne was out with her friend when they become separated in the chaos created by a raid of rioters. Suzanne finds herself in the middle of the violence, she would have been a casualty if not for the arrival of a Gene-Knight, the Ark's mostly new breed of super soldiers who wear large battlesuits and brought an end to the fighting, saving Suzanne's life. The events from that day forth would place her as a handler for a Gene-Knight, codenamed "Zero" and their rise as Heroes of the Arks.
