Gates. What was such a simple word in centuries past now sends shivers down the spine of the spine of the average citizen.

It was the year of 2750 when such a simple word became a source of terror for the average human. Massive Gates opened across the world unleashing monstrosities straight out of a fantasy novel upon the planet. Governments fell and nations were razed to the ground within days before a miracle occurred that brought back Humanity from the brink of extinction. Gods from a variety of mythos had descended upon the planet and with their descent came their Blessing for the struggling humans. Using their newfound powers Humanity fought back to reclaim their planet from the monsters that had sought to snuff out their light. Victory was achieved relatively swiftly and Humanity pushed back the monster through the Gates they had come from. Peace was restored to the shattered planet but not for long. People claiming to be the Oracles of the Gods began to appear in the remaining Nations and said their plight was just beginning. They claimed the Gates would remain as a permanent fixture on the world and that the Gates would again open if the monsters within were not culled at regular intervals. Thus was the Slayers Organization founded to protect the remnants of Humanity from the threat of the Gates.

Flashforward 300 years into the future and Humanity has made many great strides since the appearance of the Gates. The resources they had gained from the Gates had catapulted Humanities technology research into the realm of science fiction. Space travel and the colonization of planets had become much easier than they had previously been in the past. Magicka and Technology had fused to create Magitech which powered these achievements. The Slayer industry had also been glorified and industrialized to great heights in the interim, as Gates had seemed to follow Humanity to each new planet or galaxy they colonized.

The year is 3050 and this is where our story of the return of the strongest fallen angel will begin.
