SWISHY IS DEAD INSIDE; SWISHY IS HEARTLESS; and Swishy, a soul fused into a scarecrow, is unexpectedly summoned to Cearth, the Cursed Earth.
The scarecrow, plagued by a natural yearning for a heart, journeys into a world of talking shadows, powerful creatures, perilous curses, and wish-granting dungeons known as 'altars'. The naturally trusting Swishy seeks friendship but quickly learns that mankind can be many things, among them: deceptive, distressing, and dangerous.
Aided by the ability to grow and control wheat along with a host of soul-bending magical powers, Swishy confronts the secrets to his origin and finds that the race for his heart is more marathon than sprint.
But will the curses devour him? Will his heartlessness decay him? Will he win a heart from the vast and unpredictable Cearth? Bold and determined, Swishy enters the fray.
