Three unpredictable changes were all it took to turn my life on its head.
First, I stumbled into a discovery that sent the entire scientific world into a frenzy when my nerdy project somehow gave birth to the world's first advanced AI.
The second change came when I used this newly discovered AI to create a virtual simulation so complex, it was practically no different from the real world.
And the third change came when the government officials who staged an assassination attempt on me, ended up shooting me in the face so that in a state of suspended animation, I could enter the deepest dive into the virtual reality allowed by the current technology.
In theory, I should be happy.
I was now the first human to walk on the fully virtual glass, in a world as complex as the earth that I knew off. But because my dive was so deep, my soul ended up shackled by the rules governing this virtual world, robbing me of all the boons and powers that a player would normally receive.
Armed with nothing but the knowledge of the novels that I wrote and used to teach my AI on, in a world dead-set on erasing my presence, will I be able to find a way to log out and claim the prize the government promised for fulfilling this task?
