Shy geek Nate Papadakis has a rose-colored view of vampires. Who could complain about living forever and sampling the nubile flesh of one's hot, female classmates? Not that he's ever had any particular fantasies about any particular girls, but you get the drift.

But when Nate actually *becomes* a vampire, he discovers that nothing about vampirism is as convenient as it seems. In a maelstrom of bloodlust, darkness, and newly-unleashed fury, can Nate retain anything that's left of his precious humanity? And, more importantly, will there be anyone strong enough to stop him if he can't?
