Marves Marses, a veteran with the service record of almost 900 years, begins her day with the usual act of dozing off into the space. The activity gets quite interesting after living for more than a thousand years, especially for war veterans like her.
War such a common word used by common people in every day common life but for her it was a thrill, a drug, a shot of adrenaline that she thought will never weare off. Her years of service were now nothing more then an endless stock of dinner table stories for her scarce relatives and acquaintances that wondered off to her doorsteps. Slowly but surely the thrill wore off so did the drug and adrenaline that coursed through her veins on the battlefield leaving nothing but fatigue of a unique kind.
Now imagine her surprise when she suddenly found herself on a snowy mountain peak with nothing but her military uniform and a military kit, the trusty kind which you would want with yourself even while living in a peaceful sector of the star system.
"A fine Sunday morning indeed, those weather forecast gals sure outside themselves."
