To rise above, you must first descend below.

Prince Felderon is sixth born and heir to nothing. In the throes of constant competition with his sibling heirs, his brother conspires with the prince's intended lover to make him a mockery before the whole of the Three Kingdoms. Shamed and reduced to a clownish parody, Felderon launches in pursuit of the wisest magi in the Kingdom of the Chalbeams, to seek help, if not full vengeance.

If he will have his revenge, the sage magi offers the prince two mirrors. The first magnifies the onlooker's beauty. The second reveals the grotesque horror within. The sage can teach him only so much. Everything hinges on the prince's choice.
