It understood what It was. The Sight-Voice inside of It said that It was a Patchwork Soul, but It did not think that was true. It was seven years old, a senior in high school, and had a family of loyal Human servants who dutifully fed It and attended to Its every whim — even if they needed encouragement to do so, at times.
It was a great many things. It was large, small, skinny, hairless, smart, stupid, furry, and evil. And good. And Cute. It was especially Cute.
It was also a shiny Rock now. Very shiny. It liked the way It glittered in the sunlight, down here in the pitch black.
It would know if It was something like a Patchwork Soul.
Welcome to One Piece at a Time: a story about a Dungeon Core formed from the damaged remnants of other beings' souls. Soldiers, adventurers, college students, cats — anything could be in there, really. Perhaps even a bit of everything! It seems It will just have to find out. One Piece at a Time.
Like the protagonist, this story could have a bit of everything stuffed in there. Horror, comedy, slice of life… really, fantasy is the only constant.
Readers may find some content disturbing. You may want to err on the side of caution, and steer clear. If you just can't restrain your morbid curiosity, however… I try to make a habit of putting Disturbing Content warnings in the pre-chapter notes when I foresee possible triggers in a chapter, beyond what I might normally write. (Please let me know if I miss something big.)
