Living his boring day to day life, Virgil is invited on a camping trip with his Cousins. While out in the woods late at night, he is tragically mauled to death by a bear, leading to him waking up in the arms of his new parents. Still retaining his consciousness and awareness of this reincarnation, Virgil, coincidentally grows up under the same name and slowly starts to realise his position within this new fantasy world.

Finding his role in this world, infuriated, Virgil takes an unexpected spin on how he lives his life how he wants, doing what he wants and achieving goals he sets for himself.
