Definitions:
- Adlergian: proper description of the ravaging sickness, the jungle infestation, spread by exposure to Wyrkwik; causes flesh to degrade into corrupted plant-like manner; causes loss of sapience. (Imperial)
-Allqu: Kaivan for dog beasts and vermin; a terrible insult. (Kaivan)
-Bearufeond: the enemy that is the living jungle, composed of Wyrkwik; a plague upon sapient people, found exclusively in the Kaivan Jungles, or so previously thought. (Imperial)
-Bearukwen: the hive queen of the Bearufeond; seldom seen; largely rumored to exist; also called 'Shamblers' or 'Jungleborn' by the uneducated. (Imperial)
-Hescoria: Kaivan curse word, meaning 'one with vileness and filth.' (Kaivan)
-Hundeor: tribal dog like humanoids, appearance similar to gnolls; able to use tools; untameable. (Imperial)
-Hysbola: fragrant from the deep Kaivan jungles.
-Imperial Sigil: A Sacred Glyph that is installed on the back, between the shoulderblades. This Glyph fuses with a person's core, and pulls from their very self to provide glyphs which resonate with their spirit and soul. Sometimes these Sigils cause deviations if emotions are tense during installation, or if the person is strongly deviated. The Glyph can only be installed by direct sponsorship of the Imperial Crown. Comes with obligations and controls to ensure obligations are met.
-Kaiva: empire of sharp-eared cat-like humanoids found south of the Middens Empire, deep within the so-called Kaivan Jungles.
-Kuntheow: cat-like humanoids, of intelligence that almost rivals humans; captured and trained as house-pets, slaves, or gladiators.
-Kunbe (-or) (-arn): house-pets, nannies, butlers, beloved domestic slave. (Imperial)
-Kunwayl: gladiator, pit-fighter, marred, failed, or otherwise unruly slaves. The more valuable fighters are often sent to the 'Pits' which are what some travelers have titled infinite dungeons. (Imperial)
-Kundeor: freshly caught humanoid, still wild, in need of training. (Imperial)
-Kwyn Red: When the Crown's succession is disputed, the crown city and outlying territories tend to suffer violence. This might include entity incursions (Godsmarked), to outright civil war. Typically, each contender takes a city which they fortify and launch their position from. Things tend to go poorly for those cities if the contender loses. It is considered a faux-pas for a Prince or Princess to take a city prior to a succession war, but they frequently begin fortifying 'potential bases' ahead of time. (Imperial)
-Meorh: large, bull-like humanoids, generally pacified through alchemics; used as creatures of burden. (Imperial)
-Mikuya: Kaivan for colonies of animated vegetation; describes individuals and colonies. (Kaivan)
-Mucary: Self preferred phonetic name of animated fungal vegetation race. (Mucarian)
-Qari: Kaivan term for humans and human looking persons. Qari typically root through the ground in mines or holes, searching for treasures, living ores, and edible roots. An insult. (Kaivan)
-Strayl: class of ranged specialists within the High and Low Guards. (Imperial)
-Sweord: class of melee specialists within the High and Low Guards. (Imperial)
-Ukushqari: Kaivan delicacy dish, thin slices of meat marinated in special spices before grilling. Typically sourced from humanoids. (Kaivan)
-Uthurunkai: Kaivan term for round eared cat-like humanoids; a term of derision for Kaiva who submit to slavery. It has been noted by human scholars that the Uthurunkai make for poor quality slaves as compared to the sharp eared brethren. While the round ears tend to be slightly more docile, they are slower of both mind and body. (Kaivan)
-Uisge Distillery: A (locally) famous underground distillery run by the Western Pit Lords in Southbridge. Their whiskey is renowned for a double distillation with an infusion of (illegally) procured dungeon stones in the middle. The whiskey has been known to react strongly with deviations, and is a reagent in several blackmarket alchemicals.
-Wyrkwik: animated vegetation; animals or humanoids formed of plant matter. Originally thought to be exclusive to the Kaivan Jungles. (Imperial)
