The Imperium's grip on the Outskirts lessens by the day. The Free Spiriters, led by Zyxyl Vazyv, strike for their freedom from the tyrannical grasp and seek to reclaim their heritage.
On the other side of Halvanah, in the Imperium Capital of Tordana, Gahl of Freitfa did not see the point in picking luck. He had heard horror stories of people who had chosen a null stat at their Choice Ceremony - of them being unable to do anything related to that skill for the rest of their much shortened lives - but was luck really an attribute of which there was an ability to lose?
Gahl dreamed of the head start a null luck attribute would gift him, how he could be the greatest mage ever starting out with 6 Knowledge.
He put it all on the line, and he, unsurprisingly, came out unlucky.
