Taken in by her grandparents, Althea has the chance to start a new life, one where she could live just like any other teenager could.

While the other kids are dealing with dating, bullies and too much homework, Althea has a whole different set of problems. Not least of which is that she's discovered that sometimes, murder is the only solution to a problem.
