The story follows a young man who has lost his wife and, in his desperation to be reunited with her, uploads his consciousness into the virtual world. In Obsidia, he becomes Dragontooth, a barbarian who starts off as a slave of the Obsidian Empire but eventually wins his freedom.

As Dragontooth travels the virtual world, he finds himself on a dangerous journey to the Temple of Djinn, a place said to grant wishes. He joins forces with a powerful man, serving as his bodyguard, as they search for the temple and face countless challenges and battles along the way. Meanwhile, Dragontooth continues his personal quest to find his wife, uncovering the truth about the virtual world and the power it holds.
