Fate, Eternity, Space, Time, Life, Death - On the flat world of Arret where stars rise in the west and the moon never sets, there exists a 'Concept' for every idea conceived, and these Concepts are masked, immortal magicians embodying the very idea they are named after.
In the far south of the world, a hooded traveller in search of 'War' accidentally stumbles upon a mysterious underground palace. Hesitantly, she ventures forward into the palace, driven half by morbid curiosity and the other half by her duty as the fourth strongest Concept in the world.
Within the palace, she finds a statue of a little boy seated atop a lonely throne of ice, and absolutely nothing else of note.
But then the statue awakens, bearing the visage of a cold spirit-
"-'Tis a brilliant day for a brilliant meeting by the vagaries of fate!" the boy says, bells of calamity chiming in his wake. "My name is 'Absolute' - Arret's strongest Concept. For what reason have I been raised from my sweet slumber?"
What to expect:
A powerful yet mysterious protagonist, whose story is seen through multiple characters' point of view as they meet and interact with him.
A massive fantasy world explored through lots of travelling. Lots of it. Characters move from new place to new place between arcs, making for an epic-fantasy story with lots of worldbuilding and intricate lore.
A story with lots of character and landscape illustrations, all machine made and further drawn upon by me.
Connections between characters and events from this fiction with those from 'World Concept - Heart' and 'World Concept - Infinite', as all three fictions take place in the same world. It isn't necessary to read all three to understand what happens in one, however. Each fiction can be read standalone.
If you like long epic-fantasy stories with very light LitRPG elements and deep mysteries about the world itself, 'World Concept - Absolute' might just be the right story for you.
(Note: The LitRPG elements don't show up until later in the first arc, and even after that it'll be very light in this first stage. The focus of this first stage is to set up the foundations of the story, after which the complete LitRPG elements will slowly phase in.)
