Former troubled youth, now a successful doctor, Amy is a sorceress's apprentice and has the task of helping Kirby adjust to the arcane reality he must now confront. If she can keep them both alive, they might have some laughs along the way.

This trio of decidedly different individuals will need to survive monsters, arcane assassins, and the opening salvos of a war among sorcerers that could tear the world asunder—just to make it to the Fourth of July.
