A phrase branded on Oret's mind and heart. But if living in Sinth has brought him nothing else, it's stoicism. He's worked hard, kept his battery powered the way his parents advised and, despite odds against him, found a livelihood within the Blizzard. To this end his morality was discarded long ago. He paid an equal price to keep his life, but the benefits outweighed the regrets. His crimes have saved far more lives than they've taken. Who should hate him for such a choice?

Several years after parting ways, one of Oret's old colleagues seeks him out for a job. The danger is immediately apparent. The promised pay, however, would be enough to settle him for longer than the two ever worked together. Oret is skeptical, but knows his own lack of security too well. The rewards (and pressure) are too great to resist.

In a lifetime of stealing and killing, he never imagined being able to spell doom for a land already considered hell.

The goal for updates is each Monday with chapters in the 1500-3000 word range. That said, I'm a busy person and writing this purely in my spare time. Some updates will require an extra week, others will be followed by a bonus chapter. All depends on how forgiving my schedule is.
