The only thing Tempest Nightshade doesn't have is magical talent—which is a shame when one is going to a magic academy. It's even worse when a no-name orphan goes and upstages him left and right, effortlessly rising to heights that Tempest can't even dream of. But that's okay. Because Tempest has a plan; he's going to become a Black Mage, using forbidden magic to climb to the top.

...Sadly, he doesn't have any talent for that, either.
