If there's one thing Carter knows, it's that life is a fickle sorta thing.

One seemingly normal (by certain standards of normal) day turns very much sour for the young frontier cat boy, as he's unceremoniously chucked into a strange and difficult place:

Do you like (low?) fantasy turned realistic (by certain standards of realism) fiction? I do, apparently! Here you go, here's my attempt. You can read it, you can rate it, you can comment on it, you can turn it into a plushy and cuddle it if you want—I don't care! If you don't enjoy it, that's fine! I didn't the first time through, that's why I revised the first six chapters until I started loving it for what it is!

All I ask is you give me a chance. Maybe spend ten minutes reading the first chapter. If you hate it, no harm done. If you love it, well, so much the better for it!
