After a year in a coma, Rian Karasawa learns that his mom has disappeared upon entering Project Mirage Online, the first VR game to be indistinguishable from reality. Desperate to find her, Rian follows and realizes a horrifying truth: The game-world is more than virtual. Under the guise of a VRMMO, the invasion of a parallel reality to Earth has begun.

Inhabiting an otherworldly body, unable to log out, Rian is recruited by a goddess and her demonic servant to fulfill a nefarious task.

To rescue his mom, he'll have to level-up his way to the endgame, avoid detection by the Game Masters, and locate the goddess from his dreams.
