Max is a survivor . . . but only barely. He's indentured to a cruel crime lord who uses Max for the most dangerous jobs with no concern for the young thief's well being.

When a heist goes wrong, Max finds himself in a new world with literally nothing, not even the clothes on his back. Stranded with no supplies and no weapons, he quickly learns that this new world is full of magic and governed by a system similar to the RPG games he never had time to play on Earth. Now he gets to play for real, and the cost of losing could be his life.

With the help of a powerful wizard and a beautiful druid, Max sets out on the adventure of a lifetime. The biggest question is whether he will even want to go home once he eventually finds the dark portal that can send him back to Earth.

Dark Portal is a LitRPG / GameLit adventure full of monsters, loot, dungeons, leveling up, and some casual romantic entanglements (non-explicit).

This adventure is a collaborative effort with a friend which can both increase the speed of writing because two people are doing the work, but also slow it down because, well, two people have to do some writing on every chapter. My goal is to release five chapters a week until we get at least 20 chapters out then we'll see how things go.
