In this story a man who doesn't want to go to hell because he lived a mediocre life makes a deal with God to suffer in hell willingly for 3 lives. He remembers everything and after the 3rd death, the God of this world decides whether or not to let him past the pearly gates. If he is let in he gets to create his own slice of paradise.
