The city of Valstandt is home to a unique problem: it's a red-carpet invite to all things supernatural. Malevolent spirits manifest nightly, deathfog shrouds the air outside its walls, and beneath the roads, a vast network of underground catacombs full of occult activity root themselves deep into the earth.

Thankfully, the Farlight Institute is home to the next generation of spiritualists—fixers trained in all things related to ghost-killing and monster slaying.

Kaius Gwyn, son of the legendary Thousand Minds, is one of their field operators.

…Or at least, he will be; once he finally finds an agency to hire him.

This story is set in a modern gothic setting with complete with demon cults, supernatural monsters, dirty pubs, soul-eating fog, and... trams. It's a creative experiment and a lovechild of all the ideas I adore, but it's also a first draft.
