Vi has never known another witch. For years, she has lived in dread of her own mysterious gifts--the gift of growing healing plants, and of divining a stranger's darkest memories. Because these gifts seem dangerous to her, she hides them, and works long shifts at Equinox Cafe. One November day, a storm comes, bringing with it a strange visitor. This visitor offers Vi a glimpse of a world beyond Equinox cafe--a world of power and terror that she has never imagined.
