Xalyth, had never been the strongest amongst her sisters – neither was she the fastest. And in a family of Arachnes that stood well over ninety-strong, one had to do everything in their power for food, as well as survival.

Perhaps it was those very environmental conditions that had tempered her to evolve the way she had.

Having to avoid being cannibalised by her siblings since birth, and hunting for prey that had defenses that could outright kill her, Xalyth – despite her shortcomings – had become smarter than the entirety of her cluster combined.

She could use logic and reason, which already set her firmly in the realm of human intelligence. And her ability to devise plans, traps and rules of engagement, clearly put her in the category of some of the greatest elven hunters around.

Due to some chance encounters that had greatly influenced her growth and development, Xalyth had turned into something unique even amongst her own kind.

Driven by a hunger for knowledge – rivalled only by her appetite for flesh – she ventures forth, outside the realm of the labyrinthian dungeon she was born in… and onto the surface world.

Humans, Beastmen, Elves, Dragons, Demons and everything in between, were never prepared for the arrival of a Queen Arachne.
