In the town of Destiny, Florida (not to be confused with Destin, also in Florida), magic portals open and spew out undead horrors. A few lucky survivors discover that killing the invaders grants magic powers seemingly following popular game or comic book tropes. But as chaos spreads and more dangerous monsters appear, one skeptical survivor might soon realize things rarely are as they appear to be. Who will live? Who will die? What actions will decide either, and what impact will an invasion from another world and the existence of genuine superpowers have on a previously mundane Earth?
