There are monster hunters, and there are Monster Hunters...

Jay is too busy taking care of his sister in the real world to worry about a virtual one. His friend wants him to try a new game and he agrees – for only night only.

The random class system gives him a strange option: "Monster Hunter". With three choices available, the class is suspiciously selected without his input. As if this weren't strange enough, he's sent by his boss to a meeting with Tumult Corp's head of legal.

By improbable coincidence, Jay is the only Monster Hunter in the game. The company offers to help his ailing sister and change his life trajectory. All he has to do is hunt monsters. Lots of monsters. That's not so bad as long as Tumult Corp. is telling the truth.
