When a fantasy army from another world invades modern Earth, bringing magic with them, life as we know it is changed forever. For a group of students near the invaders' foothold, gaining superpowers might solve the problem of their immediate survival. For Maya Wennefer, the only member of their group not crazy about this weird magic stuff, it's only the start of her problems.
