Prince Dennis Elvarion, the third son of the King of Lodan, was born on the night a comet flashed across the sky, heralding the arrival of a dreaded daerok from their banishment beyond the stars.

Known as the cursed prince by his people, he is irresponsible, hedonistic, and self-destructive, dreading and avoiding the duties his title enforces on him.

Upon his coming of age, he is gifted a salasar, a spirit in steel that grows with its wielder, granting myriad powers beyond the natural.

Despite his best efforts, he cannot ignore the dreams of death and destruction that come with his new bond; visions of an apocalyptic future that appears inevitable, unless he were to take matters into his own hands.

The future is dark, and the city of Whitetooth appears as a nexus point of activity as forces both near and far converge on the isolated city. Will Dennis be able to put a stop to the cataclysmic chain of events he sees in his dreams before it even begins? How far is he willing to go to save his father's kingdom, and how big of a price is he willing to pay to see it done?
