Welcome to the city of Lyman. 300 years have passed since a sudden and unexplained Rapture lobbed thousands of people from Earth to a new lookalike planet, and after rounds of chaos and disorder, their committed leadership across time has finally brought humanity to the edge of recovering everything it lost. Much of their crucial technology is recovered, the population has boomed to the hundreds of thousands, and the government is keeping all of it tied together. Even after such a tumultuous start, the spirit of the people held firm and carried them into a third century. The next big election is coming soon, and a massive shakeup of the government looks to be on the horizon, which could reshape the direction that the people take next. Whether it be expanding to build an empire and find other people or consolidating to better serve the city, things look to be very exciting in near future, despite all of the talk about the so-called "end-of-all-things election."
What drab. How bad could it possibly be?
