James' bad day just keeps spiraling out of control. A mundane man living in the modern world, he's packing up his meager life to leave for a new city and hopefully to find a new lease on life. Instead, his day goes from awful to downright dangerous when he wrecks his getaway car.

There is a chanting in the woods… and a curious James can't help but investigate.

Curiosity turns to horror when he's ripped from his world and lands in another place. The grim, frozen fantasy world is anything but a magical vacation, though. He must survive these strange freezing islands and the danger that lurks within. Maybe if he can survive he can find a way back home. Of course, staying alive and finding a way back are both easier said than done…
