An exploratory voyage to a remote and cursed island has rapidly gone awry. Caught amidst a sudden storm, the crew quickly began succumbing to panic and was left to the mercy of the wind and sea. One man among them, Ericksen Greenhand, had tipped the crew off and caught his captain's ire. Forced to brave the storm alone and ensure that the lifeboats are secure, he falls within the sphere of something far beyond him. Despite a valiant struggle, he is dragged down against his own will.

Once awake, he finds himself in a troubled, foreign land where a struggle between forces far beyond him have been fighting bitterly. Inexperienced yet optimistic, Ericksen with the help of his guardian angel, is tasked with undermining the struggle.

Armed but unready, with against dark forces pitted against him, he vows to be triumphant.
