What exactly is a human?

For a god, such mundane and finite creatures exist only as mere specs in the realm of creation. Even in their own domain, they had been reduced to tools of warfare for the many gods seeking to indulge in a battle of wits.

However, that all changed one day when I saved the life of a particular human with a strange, otherworldly ability.

Suddenly, they weren't so small and neither were the dreams kept shackled beneath the darkest depths of my mind.

Dreams of freedom, of redemption.

And most of all, vengeance.
