Blake Allen is an aspiring professional Trainer about to undergo his Pokemon League Examinations and begin his adventure in the Vudas Region. His father, Richard, is constantly plagued by the nightmares of the night when his wife, Professor Rose Allen was taken from him by the hidden Cipher. He was later excommunicated from the League after the investigation listed him as the prime suspect.

On his journey, Blake and his friends Sonny and Shona must navigate the Vudas region's two Colosseums and 6 Gyms whilst investigating the truth behind the events in the past and unearthing what Cipher have planned.

Little do they know that a different storm is brewing. One that threatens far more than the Vudas region.
