Among the residents of the Mother Tree, there are more reasons to attempt the Climb than there are people. Power, knowledge, prestige, wealth. Anything you can think of, the Mother Tree can offer, should you only step into the Roots Of Gaia.
Should you only brave the Climb.
But out of all of those countless reasons, the endless allure of the Mother Tree blessing, Zagreus Aethna could be considered rather unique. The dangers don't concern him or the peril strike fear into his heart like so many of those that take the Climb. Because Zagreus only wants one thing.
To take the Climb up to the one-hundredth Step, to ascend to the realm of the gods, and to finally lay his hands upon the God King's neck.
And squeeze.
Story breakdown:
When I say Ascendency Litrpg, think dungeon exploring but backwards. We going up instead of down. The plot starts as a revenge gambit against the literal God King of the world, which is understandably absurd, but will slowly develop into something more as we go on.
Make no mistake, Zagreus will always want to kill the God King, but that's not all.
Start at chapter 1 if you want action immediately.
The Prologue is mostly just character introduction for later and a further emphasis on setting. It's a prologue, but not something you need to read to understand what's going on.
The schedule is once a day; I genrally schedule the chapters beforehand so you can see them there.
