During the rationing period in post-war London in the late 1940s and early 1950s, Jack Tucker is a "fixer" who can obtain anything for a client and sell anything the clients wants shift too. Dealing in the Black Market he had to sale close to the legal wind and this meant trading with East London gangsters who had "acquisitions" to bring to the market, as well as wish lists for rare items at the extreme end of the market. One of Jack's customers was Richard "Brickie" Williamson a notorious gangster with a penchant for eliminating rivals in the River Thames tied to a sack of bricks. Our little story opens with Jack's clandestine meeting with Richard's wife Frieda on their way to spend a night in Brighton.
