Eriperygl Boblmeistrr Cywind, a traveller, botanist, mage and healer from Valoraz, attempts to help the small village of Wan'Ar as he is passing through the Istil Mountains. However, in his scouting mission at a goblin encampment, he meets a son of someone he knows very well, who plays on his mortal emotions and morals, and eventually leads him to the brink of insanity as his forest grows around him.
