Jarren wasn't completely on the bottom, but close to it. His father was left crippled after a car accident and he never even met his mother. It didn't help that his father's treatment took away all his remaining money, with his father dying despite his best efforts. Thankfully, his old friend helped him by providing food and shelter for a small job. Despite the fact that he had it better than a lot of people, Jarren wasn't satisfied. And he didn't need to be.

After a magical stone lured him into a battle, he snatched it and ran away, managing to activate it at the last second. The stone transported him into a different world, giving him the ability to change between forms. Naturally, Jarren jumped at the chance to be special and muttered the special words which transformed him into a super powerful beast called a snail. Wait, what?
