Superheroes and supervillains have been a part of normal life since the 60s... for better or worse. Heroes are now a job like any other; one with benefits, sponsorships, and regulations—all to keep an increasingly unstable society from going over the edge. Surviving this world and making it through high school is hard enough without powers, but Florian Reyes Honeywell's powers are chipping away at his humanity every day.
However, one evening, Florian's lonely routine is interrupted by a terrifying discovery that launches him into the world of superheroes. Meanwhile, a professional superhero named Stitch strikes out on her own for the first time. She begins to question whether or not she wants to be a hero, and what being a hero even means. In these two interwoven narratives, they must protect the fragile foundations of their city and the lives of everyone they care about.
