On the 31st of December 1999, magic went public. Everybody was so distracted by the thought of y2k and a glitch causing all the computers to crash or whatever it was, that they did not realize the actual vehicle for it. Magic itself went haywire as the Primordial Runes suddenly became visible to the whole world for a few seconds. Soon, people the world over could report having performed real magic. And with that magic became a public commodity.Today, Magic is just as much a part of the lives of most people as the internet was in the mid-2000s, magic is being used at every level of society but is not yet quite as developed to the point that every single person uses it consciously on a day to day basis. In the center of all of these changes, we find Bob, a low-level Spellcracker employed by a small municipality in Norway to help deal with magical mishaps and issues in the area. He is to the world an incredibly average-looking man despite his seemingly interesting profession, but one night a summoning performed by a small coven goes awry, and suddenly he is in a race against governments and corporations to reach the heart of magic first.
