Hal is a 28-year-old student with low self-esteem who spends most of his time playing video games in his room. After an unfortunate incident, he ends up being reborn as the protagonist in the world of Sweet Magic, the dating game he last played before his death. But his personality far differs from the original game protagonist's and his low self-esteem ends up changing the story drastically.

Not wanting to give up on a second chance at life given to him, Hal faces this new world with nothing but doubts in his mind, one step at a time.
