Daniel is trapped in his dead-end life in a small town by the coast. His desperation leads him to a desolate beach with stones in his pockets and darkness in his mind. But when a strange woman emerges from the sea at midnight, his life finds new purpose: to solve her murder.

Lizzie remembers nothing but her name and her fear of land. Her chance meeting with Daniel brings her new purpose: to face her fears and remember who she is.

Neither are prepared to fall for each other along the way.
